These clippers are great. Nice sturdy metal case. They're a little heavy, but that's to be expected. Sounds like the motor is too loud. They are NOT THAT loud. I had smaller clippers that were louder. When turning on the hair clipper, there is a rather loud clicking noise, which initially startled me. These clippers are very powerful, very nice durable metal body, high quality protective cases (some use too fragile plastic). With proper care, the kit will easily last 10 years or more. The purchase is very worthwhile.
