Can't beat the money

I've been a musician for almost 20 years and have used a lot of equipment during that time and let me tell you that wireless systems have always scared me. When they work, they work great. When they stop working during a set - and this has happened to me more than once - it's at least inconvenient and at most - a disaster. I always keep the cable ready and ready to use at any time. However, I thought that $40 for a wireless system was worth the risk. I'm telling you, this little device is worth it. So far I haven't had any problems with the Getaria system. Here's my take: PROS: - Price, obviously. - The sound quality is great for wireless; The signal is uncompressed and I can't tell any difference in dynamic range or audio frequency. Easy to set up; Just press the "Pair" button on the receiver, then on the transmitter, and bang, bang, and you're good to go. Fits all my instruments including Strat, ESP and Ibanez bass. Stays in place pretty well. When you're not running or doing somersaults on stage, it stays in place no matter how you adjust it. According to other reviews, there may be some instruments that don't fit depending on where the input jack is. SO: - The distance seems normal, especially considering the line of sight. It works for most scenes unless you're playing in an arena or need to corner corners for some reason. The green LED is very bright and depending on the wiring, it can be aimed directly at the audience. It seems a little distracting, but maybe I'm just picky. - The box that the system comes in is amazingly high quality. - The system charges via USB, not most wireless systems that use batteries. As long as you remember to charge before your set, you'll be fine. The kit includes a cable that allows you to charge the transmitter and receiver at the same time, and the charge lasts for about 2-3 hours of use. Definitely good enough for one set, but if you're going to be at the bar all night you'll need to make sure you turn it off between sets and maybe keep the cord on standby just in case. about 12 ms, which is acceptable. At first I swore that at low volume I could hear the difference between the sound coming straight from my strings and the sound coming from my amp (obviously this increases the speed of sound by the distance between the amp and my ear) . However, during a full rehearsal I couldn't detect any noticeable lag, so I seriously doubt audiences will notice. CONS: - Transmitter and receiver are made out of very cheap looking plastic. You just have to be careful with them because they feel they can easily break. Maybe keep them in the fancy box they are kept in when not in use. Overall, I'm very happy with the system so far, especially considering the price. If you're looking for no-frills WiFi at an affordable price, this is it.
