They're easy to use, but if you want to use more than one cage it's worth spending a few extra dollars to upgrade to the automatic feeder version. With this set of pliers, you have to manually feed each ring for each application. The version I mentioned earlier has a slide that loads a slide full of rings and really makes life easier. These pliers work great and if you use them infrequently they will work for you, but if you use them frequently get a different version for less than $2 more. thanks me later
