Review on Takeya Patented Airtight Pitcher Quart by Stanley Molden

Good pitcher. A cold?

I bought two of these in 2014 and love them. Because the base slopes inwards, they fit perfectly on my fridge's door shelves. I keep one in the fridge in the kitchen and the other in the mini fridge in the bedroom (I'm disabled so it's difficult for me to get into the kitchen). The tip is screwed on to prevent liquid from squirting into it, although I never set it aside to check. I didn't understand his claims about the fast chilling technology so I ended up contacting the company. Here's the answer: Our 1 or 2 Qt. The Flash Chill Iced Tea Maker uses the patented Flash Chill method that chills freshly brewed tea in seconds, keeping the freshness, flavor and nutrients at their peak for the perfect glass of iced tea. It simply means that our pitchers can handle boiling hot water and then, once you add ice, cool down in seconds. This also applies to the patented instant cooling technology. So that means you can throw ice in hot tea and it will get cold. Yes! In fact, this suggests that plastic can withstand adding ice to a hot drink, much like dishes can be moved from a fridge to a freezer. Withstands fairly rapid temperature changes. At least that's my interpretation. It's expensive for a jug, but it has features that others don't. So it might be worth it if you're looking for those features.
