Good value for money 1:1 macro

Fuji X-mount users have a limited choice of 1:1 macro zoom lenses. While Fuji's own 80mm cameras are excellent, they are also very expensive. That's where this 60mm macro from 7Artisans comes in. Yes, it's fully manual, but it offers good image quality for general macro use, and given its price makes it a good option for the X-series. My only complaint, and the reason for losing a star, is the filter threads are poorly constructed. The thread tolerance is not very tight. As a result, the screw-in filter slips out from a certain tightening torque, even with very light pressure. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't a macro lens, but it is. Many macro photographers use ring lights that attach to the threads of the filter. In this case, the ring lamp can easily pop out due to an ill-fitting lens filter thread. This can be very annoying. UPDATE 8/30/2019: The sloppy filter threads mentioned above got so bad that the attached filter kept falling off along with the macro ring light just by gravity acting on it. I had to resort to Gorilla Tape to attach the filter and therefore the macro ring light to the lens. Again, this lens is very affordable, but it seems to come at the expense of build quality. The tape has been on for a few days now and is holding up well so far. Frustrated I had to fall back on it with a brand new lens but as long as it lasts it's serviceable. Luckily, the macro image quality with the lens was very good, so it at least does its main job well.
