I wasn't a fan of wanting to cut bike cables and I saw other people talk about it in their reviews. So instead I cut off the 3-pin clip from the stock taillight and soldered it to the new taillight. I have also seen that some turn signals from 2017 onwards will not fit because there is a side pin. You need to completely disassemble the original fender and remove those brackets and rubber bushings. Then it will work. Looks clean, everyone around us is happy. It's just a lot more work than it looks.
