I ordered this to replace a similar unit that doesn't have a "shut off" function. However, I couldn't get the silver ring on this unit to move, so it switched from full jet to spray. My existing unit moved slightly and at first I thought maybe the wrong unit had been sent. But the plastic bag it came in had the correct product number. I made several attempts to slide the silver ring down, being careful not to damage or break the device. After toying with it for about half an hour, he finally freed himself and moved, but only slowly and with considerable resistance. Then I brought him up and down a few more times until he moved quite easily. I mention all this because others have similar difficulties and may damage or return it. Be patient, it can be made to work and when it works, it's a great product and very handy for your sink faucet.
