I got them on my 2013 Mustang with a bit of annoyance at the 'Error programming built-in key' message on the dash info display after starting the car. However, you start the car and the remote functions work. To program I had to follow the steps in the manual which never showed the programming worked and always showed the built in button message. At this point, however, the keys turn the car on and off. You then need to follow the 8 step on/off process outlined in one of the reviews here and on the various forums for Ford vehicles and press the lock button on each key fob. After all this I think the car knows this key is supposed to have a fob remote and can't program it using the normal OEM key method which results in a message but using the 8x process only handles the fob as a keychain. Remote control. All in all, these keys offer good value for money compared to alternatives that offer a lot more. Also, the material they're made of is a softer matte plastic that feels pretty solid. My local ACE gear had a hard time cutting it because the back tab on the key was angled slightly different than the factory and their cutter held up pretty weird, but the local locksmith had a better key cutting machine that made it easy. .
