After just a few hours of polishing, the Dremmel was out of balance unless running at maximum speed. The lower 2 or 3 speed levels vibrate so unbearably that they damage the part to be ground or polished. Forcing them to run at maximum speed resulted in significant reductions in run time and faster burn through or damage to part surfaces. I believe it was the motor that was internally unbalanced as neither the shaft nor the shaft are bent or damaged. I would not recommend this Dremmel, particularly given the quality and the fact that it costs more than the newer 12v 8200 model. The only other downside is that the heat coming from the cooling holes is exponentially higher at more than high speeds is and burns fingers after being too long due to the position of the handle and vents. Everything else about this Dremmel was decent.
