Of course I read reviews, but they are only part of my decision-making process. Sometimes you just have to take a risk and try the product for yourself, which is what I did. I'm a very critical person and can find flaws in almost any design, but these taillights have top-notch build quality. And those who have criticized rubber seals, I don't know what planet they are from because they are premium quality. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has old burned out lightbulbs in their car. I should note that during installation, be sure to fully seat the gasket into the hole before inserting the lantern. Care should also be taken when plugging in an existing plug as it breaks very easily. Don't worry, a couple of butt connectors and the included end caps work great. When the gasket is fully installed, place a few drops of Windex or other glass cleaner on the gasket. This allows the lamp body to slide into the gasket much easier, especially when the hole is on the small side, making the lamp difficult to install. Use glass cleaner and it just slides in. They look great and work as they should!
