We just painted the inside of our house. The painters repaired 2 holes in the walls where the doorknobs were punched through the drywall and installed new plinth doorstops. Each door stayed put so as not to hit the walls. But then we noticed that the rubber side of the bumper-side hinge can dent the door frame. The door frames appear to be made of wood. What now? If we have to paint again I will try to loosen the adhesive on the clear bumper covers with a hair dryer before attempting to remove them.
