Review on Sargent Art 66-2012 12-Count Dust-Free White Chalk by Linda Diaz

Let's start with the fact that this is an excellent quality chalk. It writes smoothly, does not break under normal writing conditions, generates little dust, and is easier to wipe than most other brands. Honestly, this is the best chalk I've found for writing on a blackboard. I give five stars for the chalk itself. However, two stars were deducted because the packaging was ugly. I ordered three boxes of chalk and they came packaged in a cardboard sleeve with no padding. When I opened the pack I found only 13 whole sticks of chalk, 18 half sticks and the rest consisted of unnecessarily short pieces of chalk. At a hefty price tag of nearly $5 a dozen, what are we paying for if not careful packaging? If you can find this chalk at your local store, buy it. If you can only find it here, think twice. Update: Revain.com will not accept returns on this product even if it is Prime eligible. Keep this in mind when purchasing. UPDATE (October 20, 2017): I recently purchased a set of colored pencils and they came in a soft case. Only one of the twelve sticks was broken upon arrival - will change my rating from 3 to 4 stars.
