I've been making pottery for about 8 years and have used a buttonhole cutter the whole time. The ones in my studio were getting a bit boring so I decided to give it a try. It's a great tool, but because I'm so used to other tools, I've learned to use it differently. It wasn't difficult, just holding was new to me, and learning which sides to use was a bit experimental. I wouldn't say it was a bad experience and I didn't screw up, but I just think it takes time to learn how to use it effectively. Once you've done that it's a fantastic tool and you can trim it a lot better than I could with the cycle tools and it's all in one so you don't have to use multiple cycle tools, this one does it all.
