I found these lenses very interesting as their color is at the base. When you tilt the glass, they appear transparent. No color is used, the color is built into the base. Either way, they feel solid and most of the weight is on the base, so they're stable. My wife was initially critical that they were a bit small (in terms of capacity) but they easily held the contents of one of our large glasses. When measured, it easily held 12 ounces of water with enough room.
