Positive feedback for this small air pump which is relatively quiet and adjustable. I would recommend using a globe valve. Choose the one with more connections than you need. Turn the handle to full power, use the globe valve to adjust the air volume. This will prevent damage to your air pumps. One of the most frequently asked questions is "Is it quiet?". No, it's not silence, there's a little hum/buzz, whatever you want to call it. No air pump is completely silent. Don't fall for the marketing hype. It depends on many variables; How well can you hear where the pump is, what it is running, room setup, pump size, pump age, etc. UPDATE 11/12/13: The pump has failed for the past few days. Didn't notice any air in the tank today. Very faint noise in the block when I put my ear to it I disassembled the case to check. The diaphragm is fine, but the motor that makes the magnet move the diaphragm has failed. So this pump lasted about a year (14 months). I'm not sure if this is reasonable or not. I don't use air pumps at all. Originally given 5 STARS, updated to 4 STARS for now until I have more data overall. For the low price of €10 and the useful life, that's not bad. Ideally I would like to choose 3 1/2 STARS. I will say that the result gradually weakens over time. I don't blame the pump entirely, it was pushing air through the same bladder tube the entire time and with minimal tube cleaning. I plan to try another brand as a replacement. I will let you know which brand/model I agree to. UPDATE 01/19/15: Long awaited update. I had to look up the details in my email folder and here is the information: On December 13th I emailed the company asking about the warranty, finding that the warranty is 3 years. At the end of January 14 the company emailed me outlining the procedure for warranty coverage. I shipped the defective pump and received a replacement pump around February 14th or March 14th. Communication and exchange were not quick but the company completed my pump exchange with no issues. At the time of publication, the replacement pump is still running and the sponge filter has been running for just under a year. Please click YES if my review was helpful to you.
