This is a good product with poorly written assembly instructions

I am very happy with the screens themselves and assembly was easy but the assembly instructions need to be rewritten. First, they are wrong in the terminology. They call L brackets and C brackets L brackets and C brackets. That's easy to understand. However, they refer to screw anchors as dowels. This can easily confuse people. Second, there are 2 screws per bracket set, not one per bracket set. You need 2 screws to make each bracket stable. Although the incorrect number of screws is specified in the parts list, there were enough screws. Third, the real problem. Step 2 shows how to attach each C-Bracket to the corresponding Outdoor L-Bracket with a screw. It doesn't stick like that. It is easier. Rotate the C-Bracket 90 degrees from its final orientation and insert the flange tab protruding from the L-Bracket through the long slot in the C-Bracket. Then rotate the C-Bracket 90 degrees to the correct final orientation. It's also much easier to attach the L brackets to the wall first and then attach the C brackets.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged
