Solved my problem with the original band where the chemicals I work with everyday get sometimes on my hand and often on my wrist (right past my gloves). The original strap that comes with the watch just lets the chemicals sit and seep into my wrist. The burns/irritations are superficial and only appear after I take the watch off. The skin is still absorbing the liquid and my wrist is clean again. I can't always get my phone out, but the watch paired with Bluetooth headphones gives me a choice. They also look good and are very easy to swap out.
