Weak thermometer. Manipulative sales methods and reviews.

*** Report Update January 26, 2020 *** I have contacted Enzoo about my issues and have received many emails (20!). I'm sorry I hurt your sales. I felt bad, so I gave them another chance. They sent me another thermometer to try, but then Enzoo immediately asked me to update my review before I received the new thermometer. I feel Enzoo is manipulative and dishonest in her reviews. They basically thought they could buy me back by giving me another thermometer, but I don't care about the money. I'm actually more mindful of my time and I'm frustrated that I wasted my time testing this new thermometer which worked better than the first but still has enough issues that I won't be using it at all. I promised I'd update my review in exchange for a new thermometer, so here's my update: Pros: 1. Strong signal. The new thermometer that was sent to me has no connection problems. The signal is strong enough to reach me in the kitchen, in the garage, or across the house.2. Accurate temperature readings - all 4 sensors are within 1 degree of my other two Thermpro.3 thermometers. Comes with a case - my Thermpro TP-20S doesn't have one so I just use the box it was installed in.4. He has 4 probes. This used to seem important to me, but after using my Thermpro TP-20S a few times I was able to handle 2 probes perfectly (one for the largest cut of meat, the other for grilling). Disadvantages: 1. Temperature settings are not always made. As with the first thermometer, the second still has problems setting temperature levels. You should always check your settings. annoyed! 2. The alarm will not go off if the temperature rises above the Hi or Low setting too quickly. This feature may work in most real-world situations, but it didn't work in my tests as I'll explain below, and for that reason I won't be using this thermometer. breach of contract! The main reason I was interested in a multi-sensor thermometer was to have a single sensor to monitor the high and low temperatures of my grill/smoker for a premium rib roast that is not a cheap cut of meat. So I tested it with two cups of water first, one hot and one cold. This may be a somewhat contrived test as temperatures in a grill or oven are unlikely to rise as quickly, but I ran the exact same test on my Thermpro TP-20S and it passed every time. If I already have a tool that works consistently, why would I risk using a tool that doesn't work? More on the subject of alarm: A jump of 2-3 degrees for a few seconds through the alarm level seems to be enough. to cause a problem. To be fair, the alarm will eventually go off within 6 minutes of the trigger threshold being exceeded. This may not be a problem in some situations, but it still bothers me so much that I don't trust him. I'm a software developer by trade and have done a lot of detailed testing in my life and I know this should be a very easy bug to fix, but like I said before: I don't want a tester. for this company! While I think this could be a great thermometer, it just isn't ready for prime-time use. It has serious software bugs and hardware quality control issues that need to be fixed before it becomes a serious competitor to Thermpro TP-20S that it tries to imitate. Save time and nerves by doing without this product. Also, unless you enjoy being harassed and embarrassed, do not contact Enzoo directly.*** Original review on 11/26/19 ***I am very disappointed in this product. I can't believe I got 80 5 star reviews in the first 2 months of the gimmick! A great idea. Terrible performance. The receiver rarely talks to the transmitter and because of this the temperatures between them are not synchronized and all alarms go to the receiver so it doesn't work properly. look at my photos They fell out of step no matter how close together and even with fresh batteries. The probes appear to be fairly accurate on the transmitter part. So if you don't plan to use the wireless or alarm feature, this might work for you. I really liked having 4 sensors and the color coding was nice but I paid for wifi and alarm. I also didn't like programming temperatures (high and low) for each sensor. My setup for Probe 2 kept switching from Prog to Fish. pain in the ass! I'm going to bring this back and try the best selling tp20 instead. I'm tired of being a beta tester for these small companies.
