Review on Yubico YubiKey 5C NFC: Strengthen Online πŸ”‘ Security with USB-C and NFC Two-Factor Authentication Key by Amy Fowler

Revainrating 2 out of 5

nfc unreliable best in data storage

I have 3 yubikeys that I use on my computers. I mainly use them with LastPass. I will be traveling soon and need a secure way to access my passwords on my phone in Europe. I have a 2xl pixel. First I bought a Yubikey 5 NFC. After registering it on my computer via the LastPass app, it just randomly connected when I tried to log into LastPass. This is a lengthy process and I need something more robust and user-friendly. Let's call it the $45 mistake. The Pixel has a USB-C port, so I figured I could get a USB-C Yubikey 5 for $50. Unfortunately my computer only has USB A ports. Before I can use the Yubikey now - it seems to me that it can't be registered via mobile and isn't registered with LastPass at the moment - I need to get an adapter and pray that The Solution It worked. So far I'm at $108 and I'm having a hard time giving a positive review on a product I've been using for years. Update in two days. I bought an adapter through Monocene - USB C to USB Male - and I was able to register my USB C in LastPass without any problems. Give Yubikey some love and plug the adapter into your product.
