Much more secure secondary authentication than SMS

If you don't want people to be able to get your secure web information, use secondary authentication. I bought this primarily for my LastPass account as it is important. I also use Yubikey for any other account that allows use for secondary authentication e.g. e.g. Google. Once I've entered my Google information, all I have to do is tap the Yubikey and my secondary authentication will be sent. Very quick and easy. SMS on your mobile phone has been hacked. Yubikey was not hacked. This specialโ€ฆ

Expensive if you only want to use it for FIDO 2FA; Excellent overall

This is a comparison between YubiKey 5C NFC, currently available for $55 https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DHL1YDL/ and Feitian ePass K40, currently available for $26 https :// smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B089ZYVCV6/Yybikey has better software, thinner and 1g lighter hardware, and support for much more advanced security key functions like SmartCard PIV etc. On the other hand, Feitian ePass has banging software ( Only Windows, see screenshot), poor documentation and functionality of theโ€ฆ

nfc unreliable best in data storage

I have 3 yubikeys that I use on my computers. I mainly use them with LastPass. I will be traveling soon and need a secure way to access my passwords on my phone in Europe. I have a 2xl pixel. First I bought a Yubikey 5 NFC. After registering it on my computer via the LastPass app, it just randomly connected when I tried to log into LastPass. This is a lengthy process and I need something more robust and user-friendly. Let's call it the $45 mistake. The Pixel has a USB-C port, so I figured Iโ€ฆ

fantastic product.

This is an AWESOME product and looks like a failsafe way to protect yourself from bad guys, but I think I'll have to kick myself to make sure my phone even has that NFC feature (2 NFC keys before purchase). it's not like this. To solve this problem, I just bought the USB-C version, only to find out that it doesn't fit in my phone's charging port (I'm a complete electronics idiot! Of course, I'm happy to post my ignorance online too, of course). . About $150 later (2 NFC keys and C key) I stillโ€ฆ

Good product, easy setup, slight design flaws

I bought this key to use for Google, LastPass and Duo MFA at my work place and it was positive to set up and use, a relatively easy experience. After a few days of use, I will probably reach for the USB-A/NFC version for everyday use and use it as a backup. My primary devices are a Pixelbook (two USB-C ports) and a Moto X4 running Android 9. The device seems to identify itself as a keyboard when plugged into the port. Touching the gold/brass contacts on either side of the key enters and returns

Not ready now, maybe never, for prime time.

Don't buy these keys unless you work in an environment that needs them most. The infrastructure that allows the average consumer to use them conveniently doesn't exist yet - and, frankly, maybe never will. For several years I've been trying to make security keys my primary login method. But the truth is that they can only serve as a supplement to established security mechanisms. You cannot use them to log into a Windows computer with a regular Windows account connected to the internet. You canโ€ฆ
