I bought a new scanner. After installation I was able to do 2 scans and then the scanner (or software) froze and my computer couldn't find it. I emailed tech support and followed all the instructions and the result was always the same. They then sent an email asking them to call tech support. I called (toll, not 800#) and it took 10 minutes. b4 someone responded and said I should be referred to an extended advisory group. After I was transferred, I was detained for an hour. b4 I gave up. The only thing worse than this scanner is the customer support. It seems to me that the new purchase support should have 800 services. I would not recommend any other Microtek product to my worst enemy!
