Just got back from a 5 day hike and used these towels along with a microfiber towel. We've used them in more "sensitive" areas that need cleaning and found them to strike a good balance of weight and performance. Other towels may be wetter and larger, but you might as well throw lead weights in your backpack. I don't know if it's possible to make a 5 star hiking cloth and I've only held back one star because the cloth could be a bit wetter and thicker. Again, the balance is difficult. They are biodegradable but please package. I try to buy from US companies whenever possible and Surviveware's customer service has been personal and proactive. I will definitely buy from them again!
