I had to grind the sides of the nuts π© to fit my roof rack rail. Although there were two sizes, the small was too big. After getting them to the right size I found that the studs were too big as well, but luckily the crossbars I have are aluminum and I was able to push them through. Surprisingly, I fitted the two pieces together on the first try because they are now attached semi-permanently. My front forks bolted on fairly quickly, but I'm not sure how good the velcro straps are and I expect to see them replaced in the near future. .After many minutes of grinding metal and a few more minutes of screwing into other metal, I now have a bike rack on the roof of my car.
