Review on πŸ“¦ Dap 10312 Plaster of Paris - 25 Pound Pack, White - High-Quality Casting Material by David Maxwell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ours isn't like the heavy stucco of Paris you might have.

I use this for Life Casting to fill a homemade pre-made human face mold. Our plaster is not like the heavy Parisian plaster you may have used at school or for some other product, it's soft enough for the first 24 hours that I can sand it down a bit. I like using it very much. The only thing to remember is to mix well with the whisk you use in your kitchenware and use the right water temperature as well as the right amount of water to get the consistency you want and since I'm making human faces, should they are well mixed so I use the lukewarm and cooler side rather than the warm side on the hot side where it starts to set faster. Too hot, you set too fast, and the colder the water, the longer it takes to set. I prefer a longer setting time.

Pros
  • Smooth, bubble-free formula sets quickly in 20-30 minutes
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
