Description of πŸ“¦ Dap 10312 Plaster of Paris - 25 Pound Pack, White - High-Quality Casting Material

Dry version of Plaster of Paris is quick, easy, and ideal solution to home repairs and covering unwanted holes, chips, cracks, or additional damage to walls or ceilings. Fast-setting formulate dries within 20 to minutes into a thorough and dense, durable, smooth, and bubble-free covering. Mix is easy to blend when wet (workable for 6 to 10 minutes) and can be sanded and painted once dry for project customization. Plaster of Paris can also be used for school art crafts, 3D figures, and excellent DIY chalk style paint. Special additives produce a hard, chip-resistant surface that reduces paint absorption. Smooth, bubble-free formula sets fast in 20 to 30 minutes. Can also be used for mold making, casting sculpted figures, and hobby and craft items. Paintable with any oil or latex-based paint.

Perfect Plaster - Interior & Exterior Paint

Anyway, I used this to plaster the walls for my new leopard gecko that I'm making itself, with the caveat that it hardens very quickly, and once it's hardened into a hard piece, you can't get it back. So make sure to keep it moist and stirred while using.

Pros
  • Fast setting formula dries in 20 minutes for a thorough and tight, strong, smooth, bubble free finish
Cons
  • Nothing Here

Finally found it. And was not disappointed.

This material is hard to find on store shelves as it seems to be my part of the country, at least they only sell premixed and that's where I like it To create makeup of different consistencies for different applications, this material was a great discovery. And what value. This 4# tube will last me a while. Great product and exactly what I was looking for.

Pros
  • Can be stained with any oil or latex based paint
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Easy to work with in paint and primer

Plaster sets quickly but well. Easy to mix and clean. Takes paint with no problem and works well with resin/bake molds. Pay special attention to working out air bubbles, some mistakes can be corrected later. But for the candles I make, it works great. Have also used it to make some small pin cameos. Once dry, it's easy to work with and not as delicate as some brands. 4 pounds of plaster gives me a lot of product to sell. 1 cup of plaster mix makes a coffin 1 5 inches long and 2 1/2 inches high…

Pros
  • Can also be used for mold making, casting sculptures, hobbies and handicrafts
Cons
  • Small items

Great for crafts

I've never worked with plaster but got hold of it for a few quarantine craft projects. I love it! It was SO EASY to work with him. I made a big mess the first time, but the more I used it and got to know it, the more I was able to contain the mess. I definitely recommend using it outside the first few times as the powder makes a mess. It is easy to clean if not allowed to dry completely. There is so much plaster at this price. I've made a few projects out of it and there's still about half…

Pros
  • Plaster Paris can also be used for school crafts, 3D figures and great DIY chalk paints
Cons
  • Not all fit

Ours isn't like the heavy stucco of Paris you might have.

I use this for Life Casting to fill a homemade pre-made human face mold. Our plaster is not like the heavy Parisian plaster you may have used at school or for some other product, it's soft enough for the first 24 hours that I can sand it down a bit. I like using it very much. The only thing to remember is to mix well with the whisk you use in your kitchenware and use the right water temperature as well as the right amount of water to get the consistency you want and since I'm making human…

Pros
  • Smooth, bubble-free formula sets quickly in 20-30 minutes
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
