The bearings are very average and do not rotate for a long time. The handlebar connection point is not the best and you need to tighten the bolts well to ensure rider safety. The front wheel can and will twist if not overtightened. We don't know much about streetscooters, but the brakes are definitely harder. My husband (175 lbs) rode it and it takes quite a bit of weight for him to hit the gap hard. Our son is 6 years old and definitely can't handle the brakes because he's only 50 pounds. Overall the build is pretty good and has survived a few hits at the skate park. The brand name is pretty mean and it's not exactly the kind of scooter for kids to brag about at the skate park.
