great price for a home microscope

We bought the Swift SW200DL microscope because my wife is very interested in seeing everything in detail - bugs, dust, plants, textiles, food and four color printing. We were looking for a top school quality light microscope. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and weight of the microscope. The color and transparency surprised us for devices in this price range. Although there are imaging errors at the edges of the image (which is not surprising at this price), these are hardly noticeable and are not annoying; Honestly, you have to look for aberration to see it. The coarse and fine adjustment controls were smooth and the stage moved just as smoothly. The turret rotated smoothly and locked into place when changing lenses. without moving the rest of the microscope. The only downside is that the top light is not effective when using a 40X lens as the lens is long and blocks the light path. This microscope is as good as the much more expensive ones I used in engineering school. Overall, this microscope deserves five stars.
