Candles are exactly what they say they are. They are less than 1/2 inch (I measured 0.452-0.466 inch with vernier calipers. I heat the bottom end to drip some wax into my 0.5 inch holder, stick it in the holder and they stay in Alright We are designed for 2 sets and they last 1.5 hours +- maybe 2 minutes The best part is the wax doesn't drip everywhere The wax on the glass you see in the picture was made by us applied to hold the jar in place. They burn clean, no smoke, and nothing left. We use 3 at a time because 6 makes our pyramid spin too fast. Very satisfied. This box will last all of December. Will buy again next year.
