Review on 🔋 FASLINK OBD2 Memory Saver Cable with Alligator Clips - Car OBDII Connector for Battery Replacement, ECU Memory Preservation - Safe Tool for Car Memory Saver 12V by Dan West

CHEAP, but does what it's supposed to.

When connecting to the OBD connector, make sure the red clip does NOT touch the black or any grounding point - you may damage something. Either the backup or the computer is damaged. The red wire is connected to pin 16 (+12V), the black wire to pins 4 and 5 (ground). There is a speaker that beeps when there is 12V on either the OBD side or the clip side. Came with no instructions, the instructions on the seller's site are gibberish. Here's what I did.1. Isolate the red clip. (I used a sock and a rubber band) - connect to OBD. If it beeps, the connection is good.2. remove from the OBD, connect the red and black clips to a spare 12V battery. If there is a beep, the power supply voltage is OK.3. connect to OBD and replace car battery. All this time the device emits a sound signal.4. After installing a new battery, remove the clips from the spare battery and isolate the red clip. If it still beeps, it means the new battery has been installed correctly. The product itself is ok, it serves its purpose. Minus 2 stars because I had to spend time learning how to use it.
