We have a 1.8t engine that we put in our Vanagon and needed a custom air intake (the airbox was too big to fit in) so we have this air intake filter ordered and it is perfect for our needs. It wasn't dented or damaged and it didn't have any filament inside like some of the other reviews. It fits as it should and would be perfect for our forced induction application. Get one that doesn't have a second inverted cone if you're really worried about it coming loose. It seems overly reliable, and people who leave reviews saying it's cheap or that it won't work with a turbo are a little crazy. There is no pressure at all, just air flowing through. You are crazy. Order a filter, it's great. Can't wait to hear the turbo rev up and not have to replace it!
