I bought them because the description said "UL-approved US adapter, power plug output voltage is 12VDC and power consumption is only 6W." Things like lights and bought them on purpose , because they were supposed to be 12 VDC. When they arrived I discovered that they are actually 4.5VDC which is what the datasheet says. So contradicting information. The fork is an odd proprietary mix of standard forks. I can still use them by converting them to 4.5V, but I've been trying to avoid that. There were other lamps I could buy with a different voltage. This probably won't be a problem for most as you will be using the connector that came with the kit. So far I've only hooked them up briefly and they're great. Time will tell how long the copper wire lasts. I will update if anything changes.
