This cable plugs directly into your sound card for PC sound card modes on ham radio. I didn't use the PTT line as I also have a CAT cable for PTT and rig control. The only problem I had that isn't really a problem is that there are two black wires in the cable. If you look closely, one of them is a shield. Why the earth is not connected to the shield is strange to me, but still. Just be careful when connecting data I/O as one of them requires a black wire.
