Bought this for my mom for Christmas. Your garage does not have a light switch in the garage next to the outside door. She has a flashlight by the entrance so she can go to the inner door at night where the light switch is. Intelligent switch (neutral not required). Installation was easy, download C by GE onto your smartphone, install the light switch (listed above) and set up the light switch (you will need Bluetooth to initially set up the light switch. Then navigate to where it is you want the sensor to be, ours is about 20ft from the light switch, and attach the magnet that holds the sensor in place to the wall, again pair it to your smartphone via bluetooth and set up the sensor ( (To make changes to the sensor, you need Bluetooth and an app.) You can adjust how long the light stays on, how sensitive the motion sensor is, and what lighting conditions you want it to turn the light on in. Overall, it works great and mommy is me Glad she doesn't need the flashlight anymore.
