This is the second portable monitor I've tested and it's much better, requires no additional software to work with my M1 MacBook Pro 14. The IPS panel is fairly bright (obviously not as good as the great panel in my MacBook). but pretty decent with decent viewing angles. Connects to a single USB-C port that provides everything: picture, power and sound. Which brings convenience. The sound is not very good, muffled, with neither good high nor low frequencies. The stand is awkward: One of those iPad case designs that doubles as a lid and wraps around to form a fixed-angle triangular stand. Most likely you're just leaning the monitor against something bulky. A case is good, protects the monitor during transport.
