The first lasted about six months before the batteries died; I used it two to three hours a week. The second lasted a couple of months before the switch became unreliable - flip it and the light may or may not go out. I changed the batteries but it was still unreliable. The third lasted a couple of months, but then it leaked and became unreliable (it turns on by itself, doesn't turn off). I changed the batteries on the first one and it works perfectly. Before you decide to buy the "best brand" look carefully at the pictures - most sellers are selling the exact same bulbs, right down to the circuit board inside. <One week later> The first lamp was also leaking and would not turn on. out. I completely disassembled it - all 8 screws - and washed the board; after drying it works again. I haven't been in the rain; I was just wet with sweat. These lamps are not waterproof at all. I bought another brand that advertises itself as "IPX4" which means splash proof. The plastic is _exactly_ the same shape, design and size as these - I took apart one from another brand and was able to swap the circuit board, front plastic and back plastic between the two brands. So before you look at this review and think "oh that's unreliable”, consider that all the brands that look like this are actually made in the same factory and on the same assembly line and the only difference is the logo. and price.
