Review on 🍷 Set of 4 Cristal D'Arques Longchamp 8-1/4-Ounce Goblets by Karen Smith

June 2013 I would like to comment on this review from a few years ago. I think the manufacturer changed on this glass because a few years ago the quality suddenly changed and I stopped buying it. The seams on some of the iced tea glasses I bought were rough and the packaging was so bad that many items broke. I still love this glassware but buyer beware - I cannot speak more for the quality of work this company has done on this or any other item. Previous Review: This crystal is just beautiful! It's heavy, well-tailored, has a comfortable rim and sparkles in the light. My only problem is adjusting the glass sizes. The descriptions don't give enough information to tell if the jar is the same size as the ones I already have. Sometimes it's all about the ounce it holds, but do they measure up? Up to half a glass? on the lip? 1/2 inch from the edge? My suggestion would be to order as many glasses as you need so you can be sure you are getting the same size. There were several defects in the crystal. A wine glass had a tiny sharp piece on the side. I think it can be sanded but I haven't tried it yet. The other had a small indentation on the side which I was trying to wash off :) until realizing it was in the glass. I ordered two jugs and glasses and one jug had a broken handle when it arrived but I kept it because I would also have to return the glasses which I needed for Christmas and the item no longer available. I am very happy with the glasses. My Christmas guests groaned and shivered across the table, saying it looked like it was out of a magazine. I will be buying more water glasses and ice tea glasses until I have the whole set. I just hope they are all the same size :)
