Review on Enhanced Sony PHA-2 Headphone Amplifier for Superior Performance by Don Taniguchi

So far so good although I've only had mine for a week. I was looking for a small rechargeable DAC/amp that I can use with an iPod both in the car and with headphones. The fact that it plays hi-res files is nice, but not essential to me as the iPod can't play anything higher than 24/48 and I doubt I'll see the difference to 16/44.1 in my car or most of them can hear the time with headphones. But for years I dreamed of plugging the iPod dock port's digital output into a small DAC and then amplifying it with a line out to my car's aux input, and it worked. I've used it with a variety of headphones, both in-ear (Etymotic ER4) and over-ear (various types) and have been very satisfied.
