The star itself is very pretty with an attractive glossy finish but don't be fooled by the images on Revain which depict the pattern of light projecting onto the ceiling at a width of A 3 to 4 foot tall Christmas tree is projected. We have a 7 1/2 foot tree and 9 foot ceilings. The projection width on our ceiling is only about 18 inches. To get the effect shown in the Revain photo I had to hold it 4 1/2 to 5 feet off the ground. If you have a low tree, a star pattern on the ceiling will work. I plan to keep it to myself because the star itself is beautiful, but I can't recommend it for a tall tree due to its light projection part.
