Little did I know that Northface decided to ruin their product by cheapening the material. Previously, older models used higher-quality nylon, but this year's model uses cheaper and less durable polyester. Not only is the material inferior, but the overall design is pretty terrible. The back of the backpack looks pretty awful with a big hard board in the pocket. I don't really understand what the point of this is, other than bulletproof for military use. It's not something that can easily 'break' like a shoe, but it's a really bad feeling on your back all the time. The backpack straps are too narrow and too close together for most normal sized men. I'm a fairly average height person with average shoulders and I still felt like the straps just didn't fit my shoulders. The last problem is that the shape of the backpack is quite peculiar. The bottom is not flat, but rounded towards the middle of the back. This combined with the heavy plastic bottom of the bag makes the backpack fall forward all the time. You can't sit up straight on that thing, you always have to hold onto it to get something out, otherwise it'll just fall off. To be honest I would recommend any other brand like Osprey or even Chrome.
