When I pulled this cable out of the box, I tried to move the handle and thereby move the cable. I couldn't do it at all while holding it in my hand. I went ahead and installed it, then tried moving the handle. Now it was smooth and with enough friction to keep it right where I put it. I had to trim it as it was too long for my application. After cutting I connected the other end to the carburetor and viola, now I can control the speed of my mower again. Good quality and I will most likely throw the mower away long before this choke wears out.
