This cable is long enough to be used as a replacement for the standard cable on a Troy Bilt horse tiller when the tiller is reconnected to a Harbor Freight 212 motor cube . Because the gas connection exits the engine end of the recoil starter, you will need a longer cable than the one originally supplied with the tiller. Equal spacing between mounting holes simplifies installation.

Bought this to need to replace a choke control cable on a 1970's garden tractor. I wanted to keep the same lever but all I needed was a steel cable. It was the cheapest cable I could find, but it came with a lever. When I got it I removed the lever, trimmed it, made a Z-bend and installed it. That works great. This is a good quality cable with a smooth ride. I wish I knew where to buy a cable without buying a control arm.

When I pulled this cable out of the box, I tried to move the handle and thereby move the cable. I couldn't do it at all while holding it in my hand. I went ahead and installed it, then tried moving the handle. Now it was smooth and with enough friction to keep it right where I put it. I had to trim it as it was too long for my application.
