First, it's easy to use and well made. The screen is good and I like the touchscreen. Now for the bad. The LAUNCH Scan Tool is not very transparent about the additional fees it charges for the advertised features. For example resetting the oil change indicator. Well, that would be $50 a year. Pump the brakes. also $50. Year. Not all diagnostics for every manufacturer are unlocked, and it also costs $50 per manufacturer per year. In any case. Perhaps there is a more expensive or better manufacturer that does not spare consumers. After running and going through many updates, the LAUNCH Scan Tool was loaded into the bootloader. Once I got over that, the screen became sideways and the UI looked awful. Finally, the battery is not very good. While the device is connected and "charged", the battery drains while I update. Finally, LAUNCH Scan seems to have flooded the Revain market with so many different models that it's difficult to tell the differences between their models. Perhaps they make it more difficult to find other OBD manufacturers. I am definitely returning the device.
