I love colorful patterns. It makes eating more enjoyable. As for size. They're perfect for a good helping of granola. But if you want to make ramen or pho like they do in restaurants, you need something more. The photos are a bit misleading in terms of size. Back in college I cooked all my meals (once a day) from a bag of pasta with random toppings like ham or an egg and ate them all in one sitting. These bowls are not suitable for this. Not big enough. I tried 😂😂 .it didn't work very well.
