During my first project with this riveter, after the second rivet the cheap nut holding the screw that the riveter rotates around broke off and the tool fell apart. Put it back together and after the next rivet it fell apart again. It may be possible to fix it with the help of Loctite but overall I'm disappointed with the purchase.

Great little tool, used to hell. Do yourself a favor and check out the use of rivets and riveting tools. You can learn something new and many of the complaints I've read about this tool may come from users who aren't very familiar with this wonderful assembly method. Be sure to use the correct size for your rivet. There are four of them on the pistol for four different rivet diameters.

Bought this to replace a very old riveting tool. I primarily use riveting tools when working with kayak deck hardware. This worked pretty well for the first three rivets. Then it started slipping. In short, he lost his footing. So I went back to my old clumsy tool which pinched my fingers and set the rest of the rivets perfectly (after spending a few rivets getting this tool to work). I will search further. It took too long to be returned so it ended up in the trash after a short use.

If you are looking for a quick and easy solution at a low cost for a quick job. That's it. However, I do not recommend using this for 3/16 rivets. They don't have a shorthand lever for the force needed for 3/16 seconds. Smaller sizes may work better. I found myself using two fake bars to get enough strength for the 3/16 rivets I was using. Of course, the ones I used weren't the ones that came with the device. The handles and body feel well built and solid, but I have doubts about its durability

I've never used rivets, always used nuts and bolts and I'd like to. Well, they're not that bad, but definitely not for professional work. As someone who needs to use these types of tools a lot, there is a big difference between them and the CherryMax G28-G30. The quality doesn't seem bad, but as others have pointed out, it often snags when the rivet shank doesn't pop out, rather than just slipping out after use like the higher-end competitors.
