Review on πŸ”§ EDSYN DS017 Original Deluxe Solder Sucker SOLDAPULLT by Mark Powell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It was immediately clear that it was worth the money. I wish I had bought it sooner.

Incidentally, although I've been soldering through-hole and surface mount components for over 20 years, I've always used underpowered suction cups. Even the college CS and EE labs only had these unnamed dark blue 6-8 inch models. As I got older, whenever I needed a new solder cup, I would get it after the fact from a store like Radio. cottage etc. A $20 patch (at the time of writing) might seem like a lot - it can buy over a hundred 555 timers or resistors a year - so if you're hesitant to spend as much on solder as I did, treat yourself Take some time for yourself this time and spend less time desoldering. It has the suction power of a powerful handheld vacuum, thanks largely to the quick chamber suction and the much larger chamber. It's big - you need two hands on it to press. But it small price for power.

Pros
  • Excellent suction power
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
