Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Bosch-style Line 2" Mechanical Water/Oil Temperature Gauge - Actron SP0F000053 (Black Dial Face, Black Bezel) by Kaveen Restoration

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy installation, cheap thoughts!

I installed it under the hood to control the temperature while tuning/disassembling a running engine. I also added an oil pressure gauge under the hood. Not only do I enjoy seeing vitals without sticking my head out the driver's window, but I also distrust the 18-year-old sensors in my car. The factory oil gauge (Grand Cherokee 4.7 2004) is a "false" gauge because the transmitter unit only has one wire. This means the gauge will only read 55psi or zero. It's a glorified idiotic light. Installing the temperature sensor was a breeze, took 15 minutes. I lowered the probe into the air vent and installed the manometer on the side of the CAI box. I have NOT installed a pilot light, but I might do so in the future. This seems accurate as I see the gauge reading dropping at exactly the opening temperature of my thermostat. And, sh-sh-sh-sh-shock. He talks about how I used to lie about the factory sensor. The factory manometer shows cold at 12 degrees.
