Review on πŸ”© Dorman 370-225 Black Trailer Floor Screw: Secure & Durable Fastening Solution by Harry Katab

Very soft. There's something wrong with that.

These screws are VERY soft and non-functional. I'm not sure if the whole model will be like this. This batch does not appear to have solidified at all. it can't be normal. I tried four in total. Everyone immediately pulled the strings. I had to pull them out because they didn't have enough threads to unscrew them with a drill. I pre-drilled the steel and 2 times with a 7/32" bit and then a slightly larger bit just for the wood. I tried 3 of these on a low speed drill with a T30 bit. Each one got the threads on the Stripped end where they go through the corner. Then I tried the fourth one after threading the hole with a tap. It's broken too! Neither of them tore down the tree. After returning them, found I got an *IDENTIFIED* bolt that was available in bulk from a local trailer company. So identical I asked them if they were the Dorman brand. They said no. I bought a few to try and they included same drill same equipment same methods AAAND works GREAT in same source I tried Dormans in I am a machine maintenance specialist in the industry I know how good screws f work. Something is wrong with those Dorman screws. It's not that they are small or not as good as I expected. They just flat doesn't work at all.
