Review on Enhanced Shimano Acera MTB Rear Derailleur for Optimal Performance by Javarie Brumfield

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great switch! I advise!

So when I originally bought this Shimano Acera RD-M360 (RD or RM) derailleur/derailleur, I bought it to replace an old used SRAM derailleur. The RD-M360 rear derailleur used worked flawlessly for about a year. But then after a year of use I noticed the frame wobble and after reading my Park Tool BBB-3 and watching a few videos on Park Tool rear derailleur adjustment, advanced troubleshooting and inspection videos. My own RD I noticed the cage didn't wobble much but it still bothered me so I decided to go ahead and just buy a new RD. Instead of upgrading, I just bought a new Acera RD-M360. Now I will most likely switch to Alivio in the future, maybe/maybe not, but for now this RD satisfies all my needs. Although it's not the highest Shimano groupset like the XTR, it's more geared towards people who definitely race and take cycling as a sport very seriously. But for normal everyday riders who, like me, only ride for fun and the joy of cycling. This RD along with my matching model FD-M360 (front derailleur) and my Shimano FC-M361 42-32-22 triple system, Shimano BB-UN55 68x122.5 square taper bottom bracket and 11-28 Shimano HG-51 cassette and Shimano Das anything with a CN-HG71 chainring, a Shimano BL-T4000 set, a BR-T4000 brake set and a Shimano SL-RS45 rotary derailleur on my Specialized Classic Hardrock Hardtail is pretty cool and makes for a super cool ride. Ultimately, this RM meets all my requirements and is ideal for normal everyday driving. I would highly recommend this Shimano rear derailleur with all the above products. Buy this, you won't regret it.
