This was the perfect replacement gas cap for my husband's 2006 HHR. It had an EVAP system leak error message and I knew a new gas cap could fix it - I prefer to start with the most economical troubleshooting option. His check engine light hasn't come on since I replaced the original 11 year old gas cap with this one (his EVAP system leak error message has been fixed). Sure I could have just replaced the gasket on the old gas cap, but just a few dollars difference saved me time and effort, and it looks and works great! Ooooooo worth it! Another bonus - after fixing the EVAP bug, remote start works again!
