Believe it or not, I ran through three different sets of Chinese bearings for a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a Dana 35 axle. I installed the first one myself and after six months the seal was leaking and the bearing broke into pieces, so I had to go to the shop a second time because the SUV was in a different condition with a family member. When she got home a week later, the second bearing was in bad shape and the stuffing box was leaking. We sourced both parts from a reputable national parts chain. The third time I took every precaution to work perfectly, but it was a different Chinese bearing because that was all I could get locally. It failed in less than 10 miles. I was angry. After doing some research I finally realized that I could get this Timken bearing and cage from Revain and it was the right choice. I also received the oil seal and axle shaft holder. When the bearing arrived I immediately noticed how different it was from the others - this one made it impossible to move the inner and outer rings against each other. They were durable. I put new Timkin parts in (fourth job!) and it's been fine ever since. learned my lesson It's better to wait for Revain to supply good parts than to use junk parts I can find locally.
